Ever since I can remember, I’ve had the travel bug. Discovering new places, meeting new people, and, most importantly, savoring new cuisines has always been my ultimate pursuit of happiness.
Fortunately, my father worked as a pilot for several international airlines (that's him above, not me), and I reaped the benefits of his career. I could jet off to distant lands and indulge in adventures for almost nothing. But my golden ticket ended when he decided to retire. No longer could I lounge in business class for less than $300, crossing oceans with ease.
Determined to keep my travel dreams alive, I took a job with an airline. It seemed like a perfect plan—except the salary was paltry, the perks were limited, and soon I was drowning in debt. Realizing this wasn’t sustainable, I turned to my other skills. With a degree in accounting and finance, I secured a corporate job, providing a stable income. But my wanderlust remained.
That’s when I stumbled upon the fascinating world of points and miles. It was a revelation. I devoured every article, blog, podcast, and YouTube video on the topic. I became a master of the game, learning how to amass points and miles to travel in luxury for a fraction of the cost.
My efforts paid off. Suddenly, I was whisking my family away on incredible journeys, staying in five-star hotels, and experiencing the best the world had to offer, all while saving a ton. The thrill of exploration was alive again, and I realized that with a little creativity and a lot of determination, the world was still within my reach
